"the best gravy maker & arm tickler in the world"
earlier today i had a phone call from my grandma. she wanted to know what i think she should have written on her headstone when she dies. my mom & aunt are beside themselves. they don't want to even think about it. a few weeks ago my grandparents met with the funeral home directors. everything is set. this week they go to the cemetary to check out their plots - which has become quite the family controversy. they pretty much were born & raised in the bonners ferry, idaho area, thus most of the relatives are up there (the dead ones that is). but my dear grandma, as worried as she gets, has decided that they will be buried in coeur d' alene, idaho - because if they go in the winter, she doesn't want anyone driving all the way up there on snowy roads. my aunt says she should have "i should have been buried in bonners ferry" written on her stone. they both are still very healthy and active. and obviously on top of things (and eventually each other - they decided to be buried bunk-bed style). now they're discussing who gets the top bunk? they are funny. i hope i have some of that preparedness past down in me.
